Acid Reflux Food Triggers
The issue of acid reflux is a hereditary condition has not been investigated
very often. However, experts have concluded that genetically speaking the
chances of contracting the disease by inheritance may account for 50% of the
ill. Also been concluded so far that the other 50% is due to the diet.
Of all the diseases of the digestive system in the world, acid reflux is considered the
more common. It is estimated that nearly 1 in 5 people suffer of acid
regurgitated into the mouth and esophagus and / or heartburn. Also known
that a regular cycle of acid reflux events gives people at increased risk of
esophageal cancer.
In July 2003, scientists did not study with 2000 pairs of identical and non –
the identical twins and found that 43% of all who have suffered frequent
gastrointestinal symptoms and the chances of developing acid reflux, is
suffering or suffer to hereditary genetics. However, if the acid
Reflux is inherited or not principal causes, there are others. It is known that
there are at least ten possible consideration.
Coffee, tea and other caffeinated beverages account for the first possible
cause. These problems activation by relaxing the digestive system and let the
stomach contents to regurgitate into the esophagus.
The second possibility is chocolate containing known amounts of theobromine.
This can relax the esophageal sphincter, allowing stomach acid to spurt back
in the esophagus.
Fatty and fried foods are another possible culprit. These foods stay in the
stomach longer and slow digestion. This makes
over-filling the stomach and the risk of regurgitation of food.
Tomatoes and tomato-containing foods can also cause acid reflux. Again,
tomatoes and the like to relax the digestive system.
Alcohol contributes to increase the amount of acid in the stomach. It also relaxes
the digestive system, greatly increases the risks.
Another disturbing element is the use of snuff. As cigarette chemicals enter the lungs
and blood, also impede the ability of the digestive system and
esophagus to function properly.
The portions are a critical factor. Too large a meal fills the stomach and
can prevent esophageal sphincter (lower) end. Again, the possibility of
regurgitation of food in the esophagus increases.
Citrus juices and fruits can relax the sphincter esophagael. You can also
Add more acid in the stomach.
Food consumption in the few hours before bedtime is a trigger defined.
Once you lie full stomach increases the pressure at the bottom
esophageal sphincter.
Finally, tight clothes and belts can prevent digestion. Anything that
puts pressure on the abdominal area will do the same with the stomach. This
force food from the stomach into the esophagus.
