Acid Reflux Diet For Children
Is there anyone out there has a child suffering from acid reflux?
My son is 4yrs old and has suffered from acid reflux from the day born. Well, at least that's what I think it is anyway. It may have been misdiagnosed. He is constantly spitting out everything you eat or drink. The only thing that makes me think it's not acid reflux is that much of the time the food comes back immediately even when you're eating. Not even have time to sit on his belly and goes back up. The tests were done at Children's Hosp. and can not find anything wrong. It was said that grow out of it. That was two years ago! We tried Axcid and Previcid and do not work. N Nexium. I put on a special diet food org. Besides cutting the chocolate, caffiene, citrus, tomatoes, foods high in fat, pasta and spicy foods. ACVinegar not help and neither does the baking soda. He has learned to spit like he has so far not getting any nutrition. He's having more tests made in February 25 I'm tired of Drs. blow me off! What should I do?
My grandson is 6 months on Zantac since shortly after birth (which is also in the soy formula) that have increased their weight gain. It seems to help if the GERD is what was causing the reflux and not another problem that has been diagnosed, should not be what your child must be 4 years and … with what I suppose is normal development of all others. I hope that some company to get answers soon, I understand frustration. Also, try to stay calm when you feed and non-reactive, children learn to push our buttons in ways we can not imagine, though not I am questioning your problem, you have brought to the level of a game after all this time.
